Planet Friendly Options

Help us, help you, help the planet. There are currently a number of different home energy efficiency grants available for UK homeowners, plus assistance if you are aged 60 or over - many of which include free offers.

At A1 we are keen to be green. How we heat our homes plays a huge part in cleaning up our environment.

There are many alternative ways to heat your home, save money on your fuel bills and do your bit for the environment at the same time. Recent news articles also state the fact that installing a renewable energy source can also add value to your property ( see article on our news page. ) You can also benefit from the feed in tariffs that come into play in 2010.

With energy prices on the increase now is the time to invest. You can really benefit from years of free heating .

After much research we currently offer the following methods of renewable energy sources.

Solar Energy:

Solar Heating Systems use heat from the sun and work along side your conventional boiler to provide upto 50-60% of your annual hot water. Solar technology has vastly improved over the past few years and there is now a large choice of equipment available to suit your needs at a price that maybe more affordable than you think plus, the new systems require little maintenance.

Heat Pumps

Air source Heat Pumps can provide heating for a fraction of the cost of gas and oil. The heat pump absorbs heat from the outside air even when the temperature is as low as minus 15 degrees C. It works the same way that a fridge extracts heat from its inside.

If you are interested in going the green route our technical manager will visit you and make an energy assessment of your property to let you know how you can improve its efficiency and what your best options are, our aim is to make sure you see a return on your potential investment.
